Why is concrete curb edging better than other options such as wood timbers, plastic edging, or placed stones/bricks?

Concrete curb edging is poured as a single piece, preventing grass from growing through, ensuring an attractive appearance, boasting a significantly longer lifespan compared to alternative options, and resisting rot or shifting with frost. These curbs are low-maintenance, consistently maintaining their impressive aesthetic appeal.

How long does a curb project take to complete?

On average it takes about one day to install and apply the sealer. Bigger projects, depending on the size, will take multiple days and we will discuss specific project timelines while we do your estimate.

Is there required maintenance for my curb?

We recommend re-sealing your concrete curb every two years. Email us if you would like re-sealing services.

Do I need to do anything to my yard before you install my curb?

For new yards (new build sites), topsoil should be leveled to the final grade. For existing landscaped yards, normally no preparation is needed. During your estimate, our team member will advise you if any specific preparations are required before we arrive.

How does a curb stop grass from migrating to my flower garden?

Our 6-inch wide curbs are cast seamlessly as a single continuous piece, forming a robust barrier that effectively prevents grass from encroaching into flowerbeds, driveways, or walkways. Furthermore, the installation includes a steel cable running through the entire length, minimizing movement and eliminating any gaps that could allow grass to grow through.

Will coloured curbs fade?

Initially, during the curing process, the concrete color may lighten as water escapes. Over extended periods and exposure to weathering, the curb colors may further lighten. However, engaging our team for regular re-sealing of your concrete will provide protection against the elements and rejuvenate its original luster, keeping it looking like new.

Will the concrete crack?

We employ a concrete mix specifically tailored for the maritime climate, strategically incorporating expansion joints to confine any cracking to areas where it is inconspicuous. As part of the pouring process, a galvanized cable is installed throughout the length of your curb to enhance its strength and prevent frost-related shifting. Regular re-sealing is recommended to deter water and salt penetration and maintain the longevity of your curb.

Does my curb have a warranty?

Absolutely, it does. Our comprehensive full-year warranty, starting from the installation date, ensures that any issues arising from material or workmanship will be assessed and rectified at no additional cost. However, damages resulting from salt, chemical exposure, or physical harm are not covered under the warranty. Additionally, we provide optional upgrades for 3-year and 5-year warranty extensions. Feel free to Email us for more information on our warranty coverage.
